That is why, when ordering cables, it is very important to accurately identify the make of your electrosurgical generator and the bipolar forceps to be used. Sometimes, however, even knowing the make of the equipment may not be enough to determine which cable to order, because some companies have changed output sockets on their equipment and/or connecting sockets on the instruments several times during the recent years.

The conductors are parallel, not coaxial, in order to keep capacitance to a minimum. The jacketing of the cable is of high-grade silicone and the connecting plugs on both ends of the cables are not molded but machined for additional strength and repairability.
