| BIPOLAR CABLES | MONOPOLAR CABLES |
Standards in the medical industry may vary significantly from one manufacturer to the next. That is why, when ordering cables, it is very important to accurately identify the make of your electrosurgical generator and the bipolar forceps to be used. Sometimes, however, even knowing the make of the equipment may not be enough to determine which cable to order, because some companies have changed output sockets on their equipment and/or connecting sockets on the instruments several times during the recent years.
ELMED Bipolar Forceps are made of the highest-grade material. The strand conductors are silver plated for superior conductivity. The conductors are parallel, not coaxial, in order to keep capacitance to a minimum. The jacketing of the cable is of high-grade silicone and the connecting plugs on both ends of the cables are not molded but machined for additional strength and repairability. These are very important features to consider when comparing cables of different manufacturers and making your purchasing decision.
ELMED Bipolar Cables incorporate the highest quality of components and superior workmanship. The cables can be sterilized by practically all methods, even though, one must consider that some sterilization techniques, such as flashing, significantly reduce a cable's life expectancy. All cables must be routinely inspected, especially prior to use. For details on sterilization, please review our Cleaning, Use and Maintenance Instructions for electrosurgical cables and instruments.
In addition to our complete line of bipolar cables for all makes of generators and instruments, we also have a large selection of bipolar forceps for microsurgery, general surgery, laparoscopy and other applications, in which bipolar technology is suitable.
If you have a question, prior to ordering, please call us and you will talk to an experienced and courteous consultant, who will help you select the proper cable. Remember, ordering of wrong products causes delays and increases costs.
